What are the rules for traveling with pets on bus trips?

According to the Highway Transport Regulation; Pets such as cats, dogs (except those who pose a danger) and birds (goldfinch, parakeet or canary) with a vaccination report card can also be carried in front of the seat where the pet owner is sitting on the passenger's lap or in front of the luggage compartment, provided that their private cages are locked.

The following conditions are required for transporting pets in the luggage compartment of vehicles.

• Only cats, dogs and songbirds (parakeets, canaries) can be transported as pets.
• Pets cannot be carried in products such as parcels, bags. It can be transported in special cages, provided that it is locked.
• Care should be taken to ensure that the pet is healthy, clean, odourless and calm-looking. Live animals that are in poor health and external appearance are not accepted for transportation.
• Health certificate of the pet, vaccination paper, etc. documents must be present with the passenger during the acceptance procedures.
